I am not a big fan of my pores or fine lines. I had just had the Perfect Peel about 4 weeks prior to my PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Facial for my sun spots and age spots, but needed the extra help for the rest. After talking with Jessica (our medical skin care tech) about my next steps, she suggested PRP Microneedling.
The first step in this treatment is drawing blood. YES, we take real blood from your arm! After that, we spin your blood in a special machine for about 15 minutes, and take the top layer of the plasma. This is the “serum” used for the treatment. The plasma releases 8 essential growth factors and proteins in the skin, which helps minimize pore size, helps with fine lines and wrinkles, and can help with acne scarring.
After numbing my face with a topical cream for 15-20 minutes, Jessica took the numbing cream off and applied the plasma to my face. Once the plasma serum is applied, the micro needling process begins! The microneedle is a pin-shaped instrument with several fine needles that prick the skin so the plasma can penetrate the skin. I LOVE my results and will probably do another perfect peel and PRP treatment again in a few months once my skin has recovered 100%. I can’t wait to see my results after another round of treatments, because I already look 10 years younger!
