A facial is a treatment completed in multiple steps for the purpose of supercharging skincare. Facials can be customized to help with signs of aging, serve as a deep cleansing pore-refining treatment, and address other skin concerns. A facial is also the perfect way to simply relax and pamper yourself. Typically, facials take 20 to 30 minutes, though luxurious 90-minute treatments are also available. Schedule a facial today because it’s the best way to ensure long-term benefits from your skincare regimen.
Some form of microdermabrasion has been around since the early Egyptians but the first known microdermabrasion machine came out in 1985. Over the past 30+ years the aesthetic industry and the exfoliating services Glow Medical provides has advanced beyond microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion can be hard on the skin and can cause redness, sensitivity, and broken capillaries. It can also worsen certain skin conditions that a significant number of people have. Microdermabrasion is really only good for one skin type-thick, rough skin. This is not the majority of Glow Medical’s patients so we have moved on from the old and onto more advanced, safe, effective treatments. If you’ve been a long time microdermabrasion fan there’s generally three reasons why: cost, downtime, and knowledge/opportunity.
We have a variety of services we’d recommend in place of microdermabrasion. We can fit all of your needs.
A cost effective and low downtime option is our popular Micropeel that will leave you glowing just like a microdermabrasion with less risk to your skin. For deeper skin cleansing a Perk face treatment can be added to our crowd-pleasing dermaplane. For our thin, sensitive skin types Glow Medical recommends facials and gentle peels that can also be combined with dermaplane. Try the Environ Cool Peel series! A free consult with your aesthetician will guide you as well. For normal aging skin we’d recommend more advanced peels and treatments like the Timeless Peel and the Skin Pen. For oily, acne prone skin we’d recommend the D-Tox or a Jessner Peel. Have scarring? We’d recommend adding the Skin Pen between peels or our Venus Viva. If you have advanced aging and sun damage we would recommend the deeper peels like the Perfect Peel and depending on your consult, photo-facials or our Venus Versa Tribella treatments. Glow Medical offers a wide range of services to meet all your skin care needs. Set up a free consult to find the perfect plan for you!
The Perfect Derma Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel with an exclusive formula that delivers superior results for such common skin concerns as acne, aging, hyperpigmentation, and melasma. Virtually painless, the Perfect Derma Peel involves minimal downtime and involves a simple process of consistent, simple peeling for every skin type. The formula is a one-of-a-kind blend of retinal, antioxidants, and acids and produces the following typical results:
The trichloroacetic (TCA) peel is an effective treatment for aging and sun-damaged skin. A medical grade peel, it is a blend of TCA, retinol, and salicylic and must be administered by a properly licensed healthcare provider.
The D-Tox is a metabolic peel that provides medical-strength, moderate-depth exfoliation and is exceptional for treatment of all grades of acne, impure skin conditions, and Acne Rosacea. Gentle-on-the-skin acids synergistically blended fight bacteria deep within the skin. With the blend of ingredients in the D-Tox peel, acne is targeted at the root, pores are unclogged, and skin irritations are calmed. The peel supports the healing process of the skin with anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.
The Timeless Peel produces dramatic results for firmer, smoother, more even-toned skin to reduce visible signs of aging. Known for being a highly effective medium-depth dermal peel, the Timeless Peel is superior treatment for aging skin, lines, and wrinkles. It increases the skin’s natural moisture factor and effectively treats melasma, hyperpigmentation, and mild acne scarring.
Instead of using acid solutions, Environ peeling systems use acidic gels and creams. The formula gets the safest effective concentration of hydronium ions into the dermis. Perfect for men and women, the Cool Peel is recommended in the treatment of rosacea, solar keratosis, wrinkles, fine lines, and skin that has rough, uneven texture. Revolutionary skincare technology is used, and the use of Vitamin A is a cornerstone of the science used to deliver lasting skin benefits.
In addition to its superior acne-drying properties, the Jessner peel is an effective treatment for skin aging, pigmentation issues, and pseudofolliculitis. Skin hyperpigmentation is modified and lightened with this progressive exfoliating skin treatment. The Blueberry Jessner peel is powerful, and the skin must be properly prepared in advance.
No downtime is required with a great Pomegranate Peel that will get you glowing! Ideal before a special event, a dermaplane and cryotherapy are combined with this treatment at Glow Medical. Specially designed for epidermal leveling, the Pomegranate Peel evens out the skin’s top layers and creates mild stimulation of collagen. Free radical damage is prevented by potent antioxidants in the peel.

Waxing removes unwanted hair and dry and dead skin cells, resulting in smooth, even skin. Unwanted hair is completely removed from the root, unlike shaving that can leave stubble. Chemicals are minimally involved in the waxing process; and, as a result, neither skin nor allergies are irritated by waxing, except in rare cases. Regrowth of hair after waxing is very slow, often taking 4 to 6 weeks. When hair grows back after waxing, many people find that the hair is finer.
